Analysis of Student Errors in Solving Mathematical Induction Problems in Online Learning

The research aims to analyze student errors in solving math induction-proof problems during online learning in the Covid 19 era. This was a qualitative research with a case study approach. This research was conducted at the Mathematics Education Study Program of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in the academic year 2020/2021, and the subjects of this study being students of semester V Class 2018. The instrument in this study was a test, and data analysis were done using qualitiative anlysis. The results showed that the types of errors experienced by students in working on mathematical induction problems are conceptual errors and procedural errors. Collaborative Skill Improvement Analysis in Real Laboratories Based on Discovery Learning for Undergraduate Physics Education Major

The 21st-century competencies are needed as provisions for college graduates to face the era of society 5.0. These competencies include creative thinking skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. The research aims to illustrate the influence of discovery learning on students’ collaboration skills during real laboratory activities. Discovery learning was chosen because the implementation of practicum activities was carried out in a real laboratory because it requires all the students to play an active role and be able to collaborate in carrying out practicum activities. This type of study uses one pretest-posttest design group. The subject of this study was 30 first-year students from two different classes who took the Basic Physics Practicum II course at the Department of Physics Education, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The implementation of practicum activities is carried out offline so that cooperation and collaboration between groups can be seen. Aspects of the indicator include positive dependence between members, individual responsibilities, group cooperation, and face-to-face interaction. Research data was processed statiscally using the help of SPSS software version 25. Analysis of research results showed that student collaboration skills were complete and appropriate in all indicators. Based on the analysis, an average N-Gain score of 53.2% was obtained with the category being in the criteria for improving collaboration skills. Enhancing Student Learning Outcomes in The Qur'an Interpretation Course Through The Implementation of The Start From Reading (SFR) Cooperative Learning Model

Conventional teaching methods have been noted to stifle student creativity potentially. In contrast, Cooperative learning, characterized by group-based activities, fosters an interactive and communicative learning atmosphere. Embracing the principles of Cooperative learning, the Start from Reading (SfR) model can be applied to Quranic studies in Islamic higher education institutions. This study assessed the efficacy of the SfR learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the Qur'an interpretation course at the Arabic Language Education Studi Program (ALESP), UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research analyzed pre-test and post-test scores from experimental and control groups. Findings revealed a significant increase in post-test scores, rising from an average of 70.00 in pre-tests to 77.15, highlighting the effectiveness of the SfR model in enhancing student learning. These outcomes emphasize the importance of incorporating the SfR model into Quranic education, potentially enriching student learning experiences and achievements in this academic domain.

Information Security Risk Measurement Using Information Security Index (KAMI) at Information Technology And Database Center (PTIPD)

UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, as a rapidly growing higher education institution, faces great challenges in ensuring information security. This research aims to improve information security at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung by applying the Information Security Index (KAMI). This method is used to analyze information security risks with the aim of identifying potential threats, vulnerabilities, and possible impacts. The results of the analysis revealed that there are security measures already in place, but also highlighted areas that require further attention. By achieving a final score of 415, signifying category II (Basic Framework Fulfillment), this research made a significant contribution to the understanding of information security in higher education. Through the application of WE, this research not only provides a comprehensive overview of the status of information security at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, but also opens up opportunities to identify and address potential threats more effectively. Thus, the results of this study have important implications in improving information security and protection in higher education institutions, and can be a valuable guide for similar institutions in their efforts to mitigate information security risks.

Hubungan Gaya Manajemen Konflik Dengan Kinerja Pengurus Hmj Pgmi Uin Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung

Organizations consist of individuals who have different characters so that they can trigger a conflict that will interfere with the effectiveness of individuals in doing their jobs, therefore it is necessary to have a conflict management style that is used in dealing with conflict. This study aims to determine the correlation of conflict management styles (integration, willingness to help, dominating, avoiding, compromising) to the performance of the management of the department's student association. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design. The population of this study were all administrators of the student association majoring in PGMI UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung with overall sampling of 48 people. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Research data analysis using descriptive analysis techniques Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation in the conflict management style of integration and willingness to help on the performance of the management board of the PGMI student association (HMJ) PGMI UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, for the conflict management style dominating and avoiding showed that there was no positive correlation to the performance of the management board of the student association, while the compromise conflict management style showed a positive but insignificant correlation.

PV Rooftop System Design and Modeling On-Grid Commercial Scale in The Building of The Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung

This research discusses the design of a comprehensive on-grid rooftop solar PV system. The object of this research is the Faculty of Science and Technology Building of UIN Sunan Gunung Djatii Bandung, with the results of this study obtained a rooftop on-grid solar PV system capacity of 177 keep, with a DC / AC ratio of 1.265, a total capacity of the string inverter used is 140 Kwa. In this design, 3D shading scene modeling is carried out to obtain accurate losses. The simulation results obtained an annual output of 200.2 MWh in the designed solar PV system, and the performance ratio (PR) value obtained was 78.09%..

Kualitas Pelayanan Akademik terhadap Kepuasaan dan Loyalitas Mahasiswa

The relationship between the quality of services provided by higher education institutions and consumer satisfaction is very close. This quality can motivate students to form a strong bond with the university and build loyalty towards it. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of service quality on student satisfaction and loyalty. The subjects of this study are graduate students in the Islamic Education Management Department at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. A quantitative method is employed in this research with a sample size of 76 individuals determined through the Slovin formula and purposive sampling method. The results of the study indicate that service quality significantly affects student satisfaction (Y1). Service quality, as the X variable, also significantly influences student loyalty (Y2). Further understanding of the positive correlation between service quality and student loyalty can assist universities in designing student retention programs and building a committed community on campus. These implications support efforts to enhance the quality of higher education services and establish a sustainable relationship between universities and students.

UNDERSTANDING THE NEXUS OF FINANCIAL LITERACY AND BEHAVIORAL BIASES IN INVESTMENT DECISIONS

In an era marked by an increasingly complex and dynamic financial landscape, the intersection of financial literacy, behavioral biases and investment decisions stands as a critical link influencing the economic well-being of individuals. The aim of this study is to determine the influence of financial literacy and behavioral biases on investment decisions. This study used an online questionnaire for management students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. It used a quantitative approach and associative design and used multiple linear regression for analysis. The study confirms that behavioral biases are present in the investment decision-making of the students. Along with financial literacy, it also significantly influences the investment decision. The study highlights the significance of financial literacy in shaping the financial stability of students. It also made aware of the potential adverse effect of behavioral biases in influencing investment decisions among investors.

Istikhdām al-Wasilah al-Syam’iyyah al-Bashiriyyah li Tarqiyah Maharah Qira’ah al-Akhbār al-‘Arabiyyah

This study aimed to evaluate community members' skills and comprehension in reading Arabic news before and after they used audio-visual media. The theoretical underpinning of this study is the idea that exposure to audio-visual materials will enhance one's news reading skills. The researchers' theory states that people interested in reading the news through audio-visual media have improved their news-reading skills. The method used in this research was a quasi-experimental method with a one-group design based on pre-test and post-test. The population in this study covered all members of the news reading community, totalling 20 students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This research used quantitative data analyses of pre-test and post-test results using the Lilioforce equation. One of the present study’s results showcased that prior to employing the audio-visual media, the members of Arabic Language Teaching Division's news-reading mission had a poor level, as seen by the average score of 68.3. Their grade after utilizing it was good, as evidenced by the average score of 87.2. According to the interpretation criterion, the result of (N-D) was 0.60 or 60% in a moderate classification. Therefore, these results indicated that the audio-visual method effectively improved news-reading skills. This study suggests future’s research to assess the other foreign language proficiency in greater detail using a wider range of research techniques. 

Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Profetik Terhadap Motivasi Kinerja di Institusi Perguruan Tinggi

This study aims to determine the positive effect of prophetic leadership on employee performance at the Postgraduate Program of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This research uses a one-shot pre-experimental case study research design. The data analyzed in this study were obtained from the results of a survey distributed to respondents, by first testing the validity and reliability of the instrument. Based on the results of the data analysis, it shows that prophetic leadership has a significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, the R. Square value is 0.343, and 65.7% of employee work motivation is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. This study found that overall prophetic leadership has a significant influence on employee work motivation at the Postgraduate institution of UIN Bandung. This indicates the importance of leaders who have prophetic leadership characteristics in improving work motivation and employee performance at the institution. Therefore, the results of this study make an important contribution in the context of educational institution management, highlighting the role of prophetic leadership in motivating employees in higher education.

Karakterisasi Dan Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Famili Arecaceae Di Kampus 1 UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung

Natural resources are the main component in building a biological culture system in the span of the earth. Efforts to manage natural resources, especially plants, are characterized by utilization according to their characteristics. The Arecaceae family (palm) belongs to the plant family of the oldest among flowering plants. This research was conducted through an exploratory survey on plants of the Arecaceae family in the area of Campus 1, Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University, Bandung. There were nine plant species found with a total number of individuals of all species totaling 148. The diversity index of palm plants in the Campus I area of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung obtained a result of 1.59. The utilization of Arecaceae plants is very diverse for each organ, namely fruits, roots, flowers, leaves, roots, and stems which are divided into five categories of needs, food sources, traditional medicines, building materials, handicrafts, and other uses.

Keanekaragaman Jenis Tumbuhan Famili Agavaceae Di Pekarangan Fakultas Sains Dan Teknologi Uin Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung

This study aims to explore the diversity of plant species of the Agavaceae family in the yard of the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The research was conducted using the method of observation, recommendations, descriptions, and calculations of plant diversity in the Agavaceae family. The data obtained were analyzed using scientific literature as a reference. The results showed that the Agavaceae family had a moderate bearing. Mother-in-law's tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata) was the most common species with 37 individuals, followed by Cyclops (Agave attenuata) with 13 individuals. Yellow Mother-in-law's Tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata laurentii), Sword-in-Law's Tongue (Sansevieria cylindrica), and Song of India (Dracaena reflexa) were also found in smaller quantities. These plants of the Agavaceae family have a beautiful and unique aesthetic value, and some of them have health benefits and the ability to absorb pollutants.

Management of Religious e-Counseling at Islamic Religious Colleges in the New Normal Era

<p class="06IsiAbstrak"><span lang="EN-US">The existence of technology requires us to change in all aspects of life, including guidance and counseling in Islamic religious colleges. Maximum utilization of resources in Society 5.0 benefits the effectiveness and efficiency of managing guidance and counseling services. This study aimed to identify the management of religious e-Counseling at Islamic Religious Colleges in the new normal era. This research uses qualitative research with case study analysis. The research subject is UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The results showed that implementing e-Counseling at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung was the responsibility of the Unit of Psychology Service. Clients can access the process of implementing e-Counseling by contacting the registration admin, then the admin will contact the psychologist/counselor and inform the client/counselee about the counseling schedule with the psychologist/counselor. Clients/counselees can also follow the counseling process according to the agreement and procedures set by the Unit of Psychology Service of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Handling problems in e-religious counseling is carried out through stages: opening: awareness planting (<em>qawmah</em>), exploration stage (<em>taubah</em>), contemplation stage (<em>muhasabah</em>) and basirah (determination of vision and goals), implementation and development stage (‘<em>amal</em>) and the prayer stage (closing) with transpersonal approaches such as prayer, fasting, dhikr, and Islamic art therapy.</span></p>

TikTok as a Media for Self-Existence among Gen Z in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic

The use of new media during the Covid-19 pandemic is increasing among several generations, especially Gen Z, who are categorized as a generation that is very close to technology. They often use TikTok as primary media. TikTok is a platform that provides a lot of information in videos. This study aims to determine the self-concept of sociology students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in using TikTok, the factors driving the use of TikTok, and changes in attitudes that occur due to the use of TikTok. A descriptive qualitative is used to describe the use of TikTok in Sociology Students at UIN SGD Bandung. This research investigates various self-existences on TikTok in terms of self-perceptions, promoting beauty and fashion, education, relaxation, and attitudes. On the other hand, Mead's theory explains the desire to be equal to others. Also, Mead said that another self-concept is the existence of new sources of information and educational media during the Covid-19 outbreak. Thus, this research can provide an overview of the use of TikTok as a medium of self-existence that can benefit its users.

THE INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL LITERACY AND PROMOTION LEVEL ON THE INTEREST IN USING ISLAMIC BANK PRODUCTS IN STUDENTS OF UIN SUNAN GUNUNG DJATI BANDUNG

AbstractThis research was motivated by the significant use of Islamic bank products for UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung students. This paper aims to determine the influence of financial literacy and promotion on interest in becoming a Sharia bank customer for UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung students. The use of methods used in this study is quantitative research methods and surveys. The population in this study was 29,350 students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung  , and a sample of 88 respondents was obtained. The sampling technique uses clusters. Data collection method by questionnaire. The results revealed that the level of Islamic financial literacy had a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 and had a positive and significant effect on public interest in saving at Islamic banks. In contrast, promotions of 0.061 > 0.05 so that it had no effect and was not compelling to people's interest in saving at Islamic banks.Keywords: Financial Literacy, Promotion, Interest, and Islamic Bank.

The Impact of Change Management and Work Culture on the Performance of Higher Education Employees

This study investigates the impact of change management and work culture on the performance of employees at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. It employs an explanatory survey research design with 260 employees selected through simple random sampling. SPSS was utilized for data analysis. The findings indicate that change management significantly influences employee performance during the COVID-19 pandemic, as evidenced by the ttable > tcount (5.604 > 1.969). Work culture also partially impacts employee performance, with ttable > tcount (5.048 > 1.969). The simultaneous effect of change management and work culture is found to strongly affect employee performance (16.667 > 3.030). The study highlights the importance of effective change management and positive work culture in enhancing employee performance. The results could assist policymakers in developing organizational policies that focus on effective change management and work culture to improve employee performance.

Self Regulated Learning Mahasiswa pada Mata Kuliah Akuntansi Manajemen dan Biaya

This research is to see the description of Self regulated learning Students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in the Management and Cost Accounting courses. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study shows that self-regulated learning if it is divided into 3 indicators, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation is good. As many as 61.35% of students have Self regulated learning seen in the questionnaire responses to the choices strongly agree and agree. Meanwhile 38.65% of students have not implemented Self regulated learning in Management and Cost Accounting courses. A total of 67.45% of students do planning (forethought), 62.20% carry out implementation (performance/valitional control), and 48.77% of students evaluate learning in Management and Cost Accounting courses.

Optimizing Islamic Religious Colleges In Facing The Era of Globalization

This study examines the role of state Islamic tertiary institutions in responding to the challenges of globalization in Indonesia. One tertiary institution was used as a research case study, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This study uses qualitative methods through literature data collection, field observations, and interviews. The results of the research show that UIN Bandung has designed and prepared a strategy for facing the globalization era, which consists of seven main methods, which include: financial planning and allocation management; improvement of research and publication programs; lecture management; improvement and empowerment of international standard human resources; increasing global insight by maintaining Islamic scientific values; pilot projects for international class programs; and development of the quality of study programs. The seven strategies are supported by the initiative of the academic community independently so that it has succeeded in realizing UIN Bandung as one of the PTKI, which is ready to welcome the era of globalization and gain an international reputation.

Analisis Koleksi Perpustakaan Berdasarkan Standar Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi (Studi kasus di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung)

This study aims to analyze the library collections of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung according to the National Library-University Standard (SNP-PT) and the Standard for Libraries in Higher Education. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data were collected by observing, in-depth interviews, analysis of various related documents, field notes, and triangulation. The results of the analysis show that based on the SNP-PT standard, the collection indicators that have met the standards include type and number, development, collection of local content, reference collection, and processing. The indicators for re-counting, weeding, preserving, and converting book collections to digital format have not been carried out as stipulated by the standard. Based on the Standard for Libraries in Higher Education, the collection indicators that have been met include the type and format of the collection, access to the collection, and the uniqueness of the collection. Meanwhile, the indicators for the availability of collections, processing infrastructure, information literacy, and the availability of long-term access have not met the standards due to the limited budget and number of human resources with special competencies in the field of information literacy and media transfer.

Education Human Resource Management in the Recruitment of Extraordinary Lecturers

In facing the challenges of the era of Society 5.0, improving the quality of human resources is influenced by the vital role of education. One way to increase the effectiveness of talent in facing the challenges of society 5.0 is to capitalize on the needs of the labor market through recruitment. Through recruitment, an organization or institution can choose an employee who qualified according to existing criteria or characteristics to fill certain required positions. One of the programs available at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in question is the implementation of the recruitment of educators for Extraordinary Lecturers (Dosen Luar Biasa-LB Lecturer). This is the background for the author to study more deeply about planning management and the recruitment process as well as the direction of the policy for determining LB Lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The research in this article uses a qualitative descriptive method with field study techniques, interviews, and a literature study. The results of this study found that: first, the planning process for the recruitment of LB lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training starts with analyzing the needs of lecturers, which will be outlined and followed up by the Faculty leadership. Second, the recruitment process for LB lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training is carried out by disseminating information on lecturer needs, receiving lecturer application data with administrative requirements, carrying out a scheduled selection process with CBT exam stages, interviews and displays of Microteaching. Third, the policy direction for determining the results of the recruitment and selection of LB lecturers at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training is to get superior lecturers who are qualified according to the needs of the Faculty
